Play based movement classes for our Mini Movers aged 18months - 5 years!
Our Mini Movers program is a play based movement class for both parents and children that focuses on important key areas of child development
- Fine Motor & Gross Motor Development
- Balance & Coordination
- Social & Emotional Skills
-Building Self Confidence
- Relationship building
- Getting creative with 'Play'
We aim to engage both parent and child in 'Play' to develop core skills and create meaningful learning experiences.
We believe that movement is vital to supporting children in self regulation and by doing what children do best, 'Play', we can optimise their strengths to build a foundation for a more relaxed, self confident child and allow them to experience a fun introduction to an active lifestyle.
We aim to incorporate a theme into each of our sessions allowing each week to be new and exciting, and a fun learning experience.
2 Class groups are available :
18months - 3 years - This age groups sessions are structured as individual stations, each targeting a different goal but also relating back to our class theme. We practise turn taking and modelling from mum or dad to complete each task. As our skills progress we then begin to work towards working with a partner or participating in group games.
3 - 5 years - This class adds a dramatic play element to our movement sessions to incorporate, and build on, our imaginary and creative play skills, in preparation of kindy. We use movement as our learning tool to build self awareness, practise turn taking, following instructions - while also improving our core development skills. Check out our Mini Movers in action during our fire fighter week, as they learned what to do when we spot a fire and how to "Stop, Drop & Roll" when in trouble.
Each of our classes are also capped at a maximum of 8 participants to create a child centred, inclusive and sensory friendly environment.
Great interaction and fun for children of all ages & a great workout for Mum or Dad ;)
